Privacy policy.

• Analytics, only if you accept: the pages you visit, how you found the site, your general location, and your device and browser type.
• What you send us: if you email or call us, we receive your contact details and whatever you tell us. We use them to reply and to do any work we agree on.
• Settings in your browser: your dark mode and cookie choices are saved on your own device. They aren't sent to us.

This site has no accounts or forms, and we don't keep our own logs of visitors.

We use it to see how the site is used: which pages are useful, how people find us and what we should improve. We look at it in reports, and we don't use it to identify you.

We've turned off Google signals and ad personalization for this site, and we don't use this data to advertise to you. Google's own handling of data is covered by its privacy policy, linked below. We don't sell personal information.

Google Analytics only runs after you choose Accept. It then sets cookies with names starting with _ga, which can last up to two years. If you choose No thanks, it doesn't run, and the site works the same either way.

You can change your mind at any time with Cookie choices, which is also in the footer of every page. Choosing No thanks removes these cookies. Your browser settings can block or clear cookies too.

• Amazon Web Services hosts the site and delivers its pages, which requires handling technical details such as your IP address.

These companies may process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it's subject to local laws.

In Google Analytics, event data is deleted after 2 months and user data after 14 months. The 14 months restart if you come back to the site. Reports may keep totals that don't identify anyone.

We keep emails and project records only as long as we need them for the work, for our business records or to meet legal requirements.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent. Email info@designofadecade.com and we'll reply within 30 days.

If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Links to other sites, such as designEdit and LinkedIn, are covered by those sites' own policies. When this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
